My photographic art has moved to a simpler form with some minimalism.  This is the “spare” aspect which tends to reduce foreground and background,  while the “square” aspect tends to reduce complexity from the right and left of the image.  At least this is the goal,  the viewer can judge whether it is successful or appealing.
